Pardus Malbec has been aged with particular care from the best grapes of Gualtallary. It is a wine with personality that captivates all the senses. Its purplish red colour, its expressive nose is characterised by generous aromas of cherry, blackberry and raspberry combined with delicate hints of vanilla and cocoa. The palate is distinguished by the roundness and complexity of its velvety tannins. Its balanced structure and long finish guarantee the pleasure of a memorable tasting.

Special features of the “Pie Franco” prefiloxera vineyard:

This wine comes from a vineyard whose particularity is to have been planted entirely in “pied franc” prefiloxera – a choice made for the high oenological value of the vines. The wine is made from Malbec grapes harvested and selected by hand at full maturity.

The high temperature range of this high altitude vineyard (1300 m above sea level) guarantees the natural acidity of the berries. This geographical location naturally allows us to practise a reasoned agriculture respectful of the terroir. The soil is sandy on a subsoil of calcareous sediments. Yields are low (40 quintals per hectare). With all this care, from the selection of the “pie franco” plants, for their high oenological value, through the harvest and manual selection of the grapes at full maturity to the winemaking process whose purpose is to sublimate the vivacity and intensity of the primary aromas of Malbec, we try to express the full potential of the terroir of Gualtallary with our Pardus wine.
